EMIT presents concerts and educational activities of adventurous music contributing to an artistic environment in St. Petersburg, where diverse and creative music thrives. In its 21st season, EMIT continues to emphasize emerging arts, innovation and virtuosity in its programming of jazz, international, new classical and sound arts events. It is a recent recipient of grants and awards from ASCAP, Chamber Music America and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.

EMIT programs include the St. Petersburg Jazz Festival, the Recording Arts Program at the Royal Theater, year-round concerts & workshops and ensemble-in-residence, the Helios Jazz Orchestra.  David Manson is director of EMIT.
