Where do I get information about ArtWalk?

Second Saturday ArtWalk encompasses five arts districts with some 40 studios and galleries featuring 200 artists of all disciplines showcasing their latest fine, visual, glass, and clay arts from 5-9 p.m. ET. We have trolleys for participants, or drive or walk to the gallery or studio of your choice.

How do I get my art on ArtWalk?

ArtWalk is for studios and galleries whose income depends on selling art and also that commit to being open every Second Saturday.

Where can I get artist job information? Where can I get a grant?

The Arts Alliance is committed to finding and posting job opportunities, grant information for arts non-profits, and awards for St. Petersburg artists of all disciplines.

Where can I find studio space?

The Arts Alliance does not have the ability to research rentals and post them. We suggest visiting our ArtWalk participants and asking the artists. When we hear of a space for rent. we post it on our opportunities page. Currently, the Factory St. Pete has gallery and semi-private studio spaces. Visit thefactorystpete.com for more information.

I am new to the St. Petersburg area.  How can I get involved in the arts community?

I live in a different city.  Can I get a grant?

Our St. Petersburg Arts Alliance is only funded enough to be the umbrella agency for creatives who are residents and creative organizations and businesses that are in St. Petersburg. If you live in Pinellas County, contact Creative Pinellas, the county’s designated local arts agency at creativepinellas.org

What is the SHINE Mural Festival?  Where can I get more info?

The SHINE St Petersburg Mural Festival is an annual week-long festival in October. National and international muralists are invited to participate. Visit our SHINE Mural Festival page to access each mural and learn the story about the art and the mural artist.

Where can I get a map of the murals?

SHINE has produced some 110 murals over six years that are located downtown and throughout St. Petersburg’s arts districts. In addition, St. Petersburg boasts approximately 500 other outdoor and indoor murals. Visit the SHINE Mural webpage and download the free PixelStix app, which provides the location and an interactive map of the murals.

How can I get a mural the other 51 weeks of the year?

We can help arrange murals that provide employment for our local artists the other 51 weeks of the year. If you are a building owner, please email Jenee@stpeteartsalliance.org

How can I be a SHINE artist?  

SHINE is an invitational art exhibition with established mural artists. The Festival pays for travel expenses, lodging, paint, and provides a stipend for each artist. Muralists may email their interest and images to Jenee@stpeteartsalliane.org. The SHINE Curating Committee meets in April and May to select the artists to be invited.  A call for an annual local artists’ competition is announced on the SHINE Facebook and Instagram pages in late summer.

How is the Arts Alliance Funded?

The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance is a non-profit 501(c)3. All of our funding comes from charitable donations, sponsorships, and public and private grants. We are not employees of the Chamber of Commerce, City of St. Petersburg, or Pinellas County.
